  • Condition: The metal has a real nice patina and is in great condition for its age. The only wear I see are some scratches on the bottom and inside bottom, but as you can see by the pictures this is a beautiful piece! This and the other 1904 St. Louis pieces I have listed have sat undisturbed on the same shelf for more than 70 years! I did not clean or wipe, at all, I’ll leave that choice to the new owner.

    Rare, of 1200+ 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair collectibles listed on eBay, I don’t find another example like this, I searched the internet and couldn’t find this piece anywhere, I did find a purse with the same “envelope design” listed for 5. That is the only reference I found,

    Silver colored metal filigree design jewelry/trinket box that the cover/top is designed to look like a letter with embossed stamp, post mark and address, from the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition, St. Louis, Mo.  The metal has a real nice patina and is in great condition for its age. The only wear I see are some scratches on the bottom and inside bottom, but as you can see by the pictures this is a beautiful piece! This and the other 1904 St. Louis pieces I have listed have sat undisturbed on the same shelf for more than 70 years! I did not clean or wipe, at all, I’ll leave that choice to the new owner. Measures approximately 3.75” wide x 2.125” tall x 1.5” deep. SEE PHOTOS!!!
