    Description

In 1950s Comet Authenticast ads -- and perhaps available even earlier -- buildings made of wood with features that included some lead items made by Authenticast the toy soldier and scale ID models maker in New York were sold both directly through Authenticast catalogs and dealers as well as re-branded with names of Lionel or American Flyer pasted onto the models.  The buildings were O-scale, but were also used for 027 and S gauge model layouts.  The buildings included suburban train stations, hot dog stands and newspaper stands.  Like this item's "Hires Rood Beer" sign, paper was cut out of magazine ads and pasted onto the buildings.  The structures are open on the bottom to allow added lighting.  The figure of the counter man and the cash register are made of lead and so are not for children to play with.  Please see the photos as best evidence of condition.  I use carefully packed Priority mail and hence the mailing cost below.
